SAN MARCOS POLICE DEPARTMENT
A resident of an apartment complex near the 1800 to 1900 block of Aquarena Springs Drive found an unknown male hiding under her bed on Thursday, July 31. Police responded to the burglary around 11 p.m., according to a Facebook post by the San Marcos Police Department.
“When the resident left the apartment to call 911, the male exited the apartment through a back door and left on foot toward Aquarena Springs Drive,” the post stated. “It’s not clear how the male got into the apartment or how long he was inside.”
San Marcos Police are actively investigating the incident and encourage residents in the area to lock their doors and be aware of their surroundings. SMPD is asking for anyone that notices any suspicious activity to report it.
