AquaSprings Dental is hosting a Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway event at 1400 North state Highway 123 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. The free backpacks will be filled with school supplies as well. Supplies are limited to one kit per family, and they are first-come-first-served.
The city of Kyle is hosting Movie in the Park, starting at sundown (around 8:15 p.m.) on Friday at Gregg-Clarke Park, located at 1231 West Center Street in Kyle. The August Movie in the Park “Venom the Last Dance” (PG-13), will be shown. In this superhero film, Eddie Brock and Venom face new challenges and adversaries. The Facebook post encourages attendees to bring something to sit on. Personal food and coolers are allowed, but the city asks that you please dispose of items in the trash and recycle bins available at Lake Kyle Park. Pets are allowed but must remain on leash. Movies in the Park is a weather-dependent, so check for a notice of cancellation at CityofKyle. com/Movies and on social media.
