Some people love vinyl records. Some people collect bobble heads, or antique door knobs, or commemorative plates. I collect vintage clothes. To the point that my collection has pushed my husband’s wardrobe of jeans, slacks, polos and band t-shirts into the tiniest corner of our closet, and I have recently converted our middle bathroom into an additional storage space for clothes. A favorite pastime for finding unique clothing items is thrift shopping at estate sales and local shops, but this weekend the shops will come to us with the Vanilla Bean Market. This is a curated vintage clothing market featuring more than 50 vendors on the Hays County Courthouse Lawn. Vanilla Bean brings together nostalgia, creativity, music, food, jewelry and one-of-a-kind treasures. The market will run this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. I intend to be vintage clothing heaven. Finding a place to put them? That sounds like a problem for next week.
