This Friday, projectART — a nonprofit art organization in Wimberley — will host its Youth Art Show curated and created entirely by students. The exhibit will feature artwork from Kindergarteners through 7th graders, and will be on view from Aug. 22 to Sept. 7 at the contemporary art gallery ARTSPACE. The show will formally kick off with an opening reception at ARTSPACE in Wimberley on Aug. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m., so join us in celebrating this momentous evening filled with student creativity. Then on Saturday, visit Roughhouse Brewing for its Red Hot Spiced Amber Ale release party. This all-day event starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 8 p.m., and will feature spicy sandwich and salsa specials, a count-the-red-hot raffle, live music by the Calloway Ritch Due and more.
