The San Marcos Price Center & Garden released a call for art for their upcoming exhibition, A Symphony of Colors. Submission intake is in person on Tuesday Aug. 26 and Wednesday Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Intake is located inside the Price Center located at 222 W. San Antonio St. The exhibition runs Aug. 30 through Oct. 25.
The call for art is open to the public and is not limited to any age with artwork by persons under 16 to be evaluated by the Price Center Arts Committee. Artwork must be original work and relevant to the exhibition theme. Entry fees per piece is $10 for Price Center Members, $15 for non-members and $5 for students. Artwork must be ready to hang and dry. Artists can submit one large artwork up to 36’’ by 48’’ or two small works 8’’ by 10’’ or smaller. Artwork can be for sale and the Price Center charges a 20% commission on all sales. For full guidelines one can download the form on their website at pricecenter. org/artists.
