AUSTIN SWAPPIN & BLUE DAHLIA
On Saturday, my son and I will enjoy two of our favorite things: clothing swaps and a book signing. We’ll start out at the Austin Swappin August Clothing Swap at the Wanderlust Wine Collective, where sorting and check-in will start at 9:30 a.m. This monthly swap exchanges gently used clothes, household items, books, art — you name it, they’ve got it. Tickets are $10 and are available at austinswappin.com. Afterward, we’ll return to San Marcos for brunch at Blue Dahlia to celebrate my son and his partner’s departure for their honeymoon in Seoul and Busan, South Korea. Fresh fruit, mimosas and blueberry blintzes in the secret garden all sound so lovely for a family celebration brunch.
