Welcome back, Bobcats! It’s time for Pride. In San Marcos, we celebrate Pride at the beginning of the Fall semester so that every baby Bobcat knows there is a safe, welcoming place for them within the community. Festivities kick off with the 2nd Annual Pride Pageant at The Porch on Friday, Sept. 5 from 5:30 - 10 p.m. Hosted by Solangel Vergara and the San Marcos Queer Council, this event celebrates our sparkling local drag scene.
On Saturday, the celebration continues at the corner of MLK and LBJ at 9 a.m. for the Pride Walk to the Courthouse. This year, the color is purple to represent solidarity. Kelany & The All Nighters will play from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. From there, head down from the Square to Industry for the high-energy, all-slay Drag Brunch, hosted by Bunny & Tiffany. Keep the party going with community and camaraderie with a 21+ After Hours Party from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
