Tickets on sale now for Disney’s Beauty and The Beast at Bass Concert Hall

Get ready for a tale as old as time with the Disney classic, Beauty and The Beast. The first North American touring production of the musical in over 25 years will come to Bass Concert Hall for a twoweek engagement Dec. 2 - 14.

Based on the 1991 Academy Awardwinning animated film, Beauty and The Beast first premiered on Broadway in 1994. With its glittering costumes, sumptuous sets and sweeping score, the musical continues to rank as the 10th longest-running show in Broadway history.

The interwoven story and score made Disney history as the second time a Disney film had been structured as a stage musical where the songs were integral to both plot and characterization. This Alan Menken and Howard Ashman collaboration sparked the 1990’s Disney animation renaissance that brought film classics such as Aladdin and The Lion King to life.

In Austin, Beauty and The Beast will take the Bass Concert Hall stage Tuesday through Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m. Tickets start at $36 are are available at the Bass Concert Hall Box Office and online at TexasPerformingArts. org and BroadwayinAustin.com. To charge tickets, call (512) 471-1444. Extra Magic Packages, which include a prime seat in the theater as well as show merchandise are also available.
