LETTER TO THE EDITOR
What a dreadfully deceiving headline in the San Marcos Record September 14: “Texas State fires professor accused of trying to incite political violence in video”. Dr. Alter was not advocating violence. He was espousing organization as a way to effect change.
Nor were his opponents promoting violence. They were working for change through public protests.
What a fearful state our country is in that such a discussion can be justification for dismissing Dr. Alter.
