Gary Job Corps hosts local employers for quarterly meeting

Gary Job Corps conducted a Quarterly Workforce Industry and Community Relations Council meeting, allowing local and regional employers and community members to review instructional material and learn of current activities around the Gary Job Corps Center.

Susanne Ritter, Career Technical Training Manager, welcomed industry partners and thanked them for visiting the center and evaluating the technical training.

“It is because of our partnership with our employers that we remain current with the needs of today’s workforce,” Ritter said. “We thank you for taking the time in ensuring that our students are trained today for the jobs of today”.

Center Director Norman Turner thanked the employers and community partners for their support. “You are very important to us, it is because of you, that we remain a viable training opportunity for our young men and women”.

The Gary Job Corps Center training includes: advanced manufacturing, construction, finance and business, health care, Homeland Security, transportation and advanced training.

Thanks to the following organizations and businesses that participated in the Quarterly WIC/CRC Council Meeting: City of San Marcos, Hays County Juvenile Detention Center, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Southside Community Center, Caldwell County Homeland Security, Travis County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Wallace and Connally Units.
