The Austin chapter of Empowering Women as Leaders is pleased to announce that scholarship applications are now open for nontraditional-aged women pursuing undergraduate degrees at Texas State University. Each EWL scholarship provides $1,500 every semester, awarded through graduation, along with mentoring, networking and leadership development opportunities.

Since launching its STAR scholarship program in 2022, EWL Austin has awarded 14 scholarships, celebrating seven graduates to date. In 2024 alone, the chapter awarded seven new scholarships and plans to continue steady growth in both the number of awards and the depth of support provided.

“EWL is more than just a scholarship — it’s a community of mentors and leaders who are deeply invested in helping these women succeed,” said Linda Lacinski, President of EWL Austin. “By easing financial burdens and providing a support system, we’re able to empower women to reach of their goals and, in turn, make a lasting impact in their family and our community.”
