EXPERIENCE ART AND WEAR IT TOO!

Spooky season is finally upon us! This is one of my favorite times of the year, and I plan to kick it off at “What Would Vincent Do?” an immersive, interactive art experience happening this weekend and next at MotherShip Studios. The art collective American Communal Industries has worked diligently for the last few months to build out hallways and pathways, transforming the art gallery into a maze of amazement. The experience will blend visuals, dance and music to offer a once-in-alifetime opportunity to peek into Van Gogh’s world, his inspiration and his impact on local artists. Running three nights only, Oct. 4, 10, and 11, tickets are available at wwvd.show.

Before the show, make your way to Eye of the Dog Art Gallery to visit Corinne Loperfido’s textile show titled ‘“What Does The Earth Need Us To Do?’ There will be a clothing swap from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., so bring your old wears and plan to leave with some new ones. Loperfido’s show will be on display throughout October, but this is the perfect opportunity to see what an art practice focused on mending, recycling and reusing can offer. Located at 405 Valley View West Road, the art center is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
