A Hays County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested for Public Intoxication, a Class C Misdemeanor, by the Kyle Police Department on Oct. 21 on Kennicott Drive in Kyle, according to a press release issued by the Hays County Sheriff's Department.
Deputy Victor Guajardo was off duty at the time of the incident and is assigned to the Patrol Division.
“The Hays County Sheriff’s Office of Professional Responsibility will conduct an internal administrative investigation, which will run concurrently with the criminal investigation,” the press release stated. “Deputy Guajardo has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the internal investigation.”
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office currently said there is no additional information at this time.
