It sure is nice to be back with you all and sharing my weekend plans. I’ve got a couple of good ones for you, and they’re fall-flavored. San Marcos Parks and Recreation will be hosting Farmer Fred’s Harvest Fall Carnival from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at 170 Charles Austin Drive. According to the Facebook post, there will be “there’ll be ghoulies and ghosties and long-legged beasties, sodas and popcorn and other sweet eaties, contests and games and all kinds of treaties, in an evening of fun and fall-themed freebies.” The event and costume contest are free, and concessions can be purchased.
Don’t miss your chance to solve a spooky murder mystery at Wineaux, located at 314 East Hutchison St., from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. There are a couple of tickets left, which can be purchased at txwineaux.bar/murder-at-the-seance.
The website says that the Murder at the Seance “promises to connect the living and the spirit world, opening doors to mysteries that transcend time and space.”
