Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos is celebrating its 15th anniversary on Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. at the San Marcos Conference Center at 1001 E. McCarty Lane. This ticketed event is open to the public with proceeds going towards Centro’s programing.
John Quinones, ABC Correspondent & seventime Emmy Award winner is the speaker for this event. Quinones is a Texan who built his career as a journalist and host of hit TV show “What Would You Do?”
The mission of Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos (Centro) is to serve as a community beacon for the preservation, development, promotion and celebration of the Hispanic arts, culture, heritage and values.
Proceeds from the Noche de Gala tickets support numerous art, music, dance and educational youth programs held at Centro throughout the year. Centro functions as a community center and education hub with programming including the ArtSpace, which offers free art classes to the San Marcos youth. The Centro also offers piano lessons, youth mariachi and ballet folklorico.
