First Tuesday Film: Oklahoma Breakdown

The award winning First Tuesday Film Series returns in November on the second Tuesday due to elections the first week of the month. Join filmmakers and lovers Nov. 11 for a screening of Oklahoma Breakdown, deemed ‘the greatest one-hit wonder you’ve never heard of ’. There will be a post-film Q&A with Director Christopher Fitzpatrick and Coach Smith, host of “Over Easy With Coach” on 94.3 KWVH Wimberley & Music Enthusiast Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with complimentary refreshments from Pie Society and Middleton Brewing. Show starts at 7 p.m. located at the Price Center at 222 W. San Antonio Street. Advanced tickets are currently for sale for $9.

Featuring Mike Hosty, Stoney La-Rue, Shinyribs, Cody Canada and James Boland, the film follows Mike Hosty who is a legend in certain rarefied musical circles. A one-man band who counts among his fans some of your favorite musicians. He has written a million-seller “Oklahoma Breakdown” - covered and made famous by Stoney LaRue — but has thrived mostly in underground music scenes, touring endlessly and living the life of a road warrior.
