The San Marcos Police Department is investigating a second San Marcos-area shooting in the 1600 block of Post Road early Sunday morning, following the fatal shooting downtown at 10 p.m. Saturday. Investigators do not believe that there is any connection between this incident and the earlier shooting at the square, according to police reports.
The initial call came in at about 1:25 a.m. (before the time change). The victim was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. The suspect has not been identified at this time.
