San Marcos Police have identified Patrick Dave Anderson, 24, as the suspect in the Nov. 1 shooting in downtown near Kissing Alley. Anderson moved to San Marcos from Arizona in October.
During the investigation it was determined that two groups passed on the sidewalk, an argument broke out, and Anderson fired multiple shots, injuring two people, and killing 19-year-old Ronnie Hernandez Jr., according to San Marcos Police. SMPD were initially seeking two suspects, the second individual has been identified and is cooperating with the investigation.
The U.S. Marshals Service is assisting in locating Anderson. He has not been arrested and is believed to have left San Marcos.
