It’s time to think small!
The December exhibition of the San Marcos Art League invites all creators, innovators and artists to participate in the SMAL Small Show and share your diverse and captivating collections of small-scale artworks, perfect for holiday gift giving and for adding a touch of artistic cheer to any home. This show will demonstrate that great art comes in all sizes, small in scale but powerful in presence. Intricate details and thoughtful craftsmanship can create a lasting impression on someone looking for a unique, handmade gift at a reasonable price.
Artists should price to sell in a range that fits every budget. Hanging art should not exceed 8”x10”, including framing. 3D art should not exceed 6”x6”x6”. Each artist will be allowed to submit 3 artworks on the initial application.
The Call for Art will be open from Nov. 3 through Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. Intake will be at the San Marcos Art Center at 117 N Guadalupe #101 on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 1-4 p.m. and the opening reception will be held Friday, Dec. 12 from 6-8 p.m. The application will be posted at artleaguesmtx.org/events starting Nov. 3.
