KZSM Music Award’s Songwriter of the Year Jack Henry released his new album “The Kid.” He celebrated by having an album release show at the Price Center featuring Attic Ted.

Jack Henry plays at the beginning of his album release party.

The new album explores the grief he has felt over the recent passing of his father Michael Corcoran, who worked for both The Austin-American Statesman as a music critic and The Austin Chronicle as a music scene columnist. Despite exploring weighty themes such as loss and addiction, his new album radiates an uplifting, soothing energy, while the skillful guitar work and subtle harmonies create a rich, layered listening experience.

Henry began the soiree by performing a few of his older tunes then he played the new record while people mingled and enjoyed the free snacks and wine. The finale for the event was a performance by Attic Ted.
