NOVEMBER 1 Million Cups SMTX Celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week with a Special Town Hall Event When: Wednesday, Nov.19 from 9 - 10 am Who: Free, monthly educational program designed to engage, connect, and support local entrepreneurs and start-ups. We provide a platform for early-stage businesses to present their ideas and receive valuable feedback and support from the community. Fight the Fall

When: Wednesday, Nov.19 from 12 - 1 p.m.

Who: Welcome to Fyzical Therapy & Balance’s Fight the Fall, balance and fall prevention class.

Balance is in their name, and they specialize in it. At FYZICAL, fall prevention is one of the cornerstones of their mission. Their clinics across the country join together to “Fight the Fall” by spreading awareness of the danger of falls and how falls can be prevented. Each class meeting will focus on static and dynamic balance, home safety, balance strategies, and education. Instructors will assess each person’s level of confidence and instruct in strengthening and strategies that are specific for balance and general stability.

Participants need to wear loose, comfortable clothing with rubber-soled shoes.

Multiple Industry Job Fair When: Every third Wednesday; Nov. 19, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

60+ Super Senior Jeopardy When: Wednesday, Nov.19, 1 p.m.

Who: This group social will include playing a “Jeopardy like” trivia game from JeopardyLabs. com. Participants will take turns choosing the category and amount of the question. Each participant will have the opportunity to answer each question.

For every correct answer, participants will be awarded the “amount” of the question. For every incorrect answer, the “amount” of the question will be deducted from the participant’s score. Points are not awarded or deducted for unanswered questions. Registration is not required.

Bowl-o-Rama Mama When: Friday. Nov 21, 5:30 -7:30 p.m.

Where: Sunset Lanes Bowling Alley What: Occurs annually in November. Children and their mothers or mother-figures are invited to join us at Sunset Bowling Lanes for a night of bowling fun. The event will feature

Dance for Adult with Disabilities When: Friday Nov. 21 7 - 9 p.m.

Where: San Marcos Activity Center – 501 E Hopkins Who: Ages 18+ What: The city of San Marcos hosts Dances for Adults with Disabilities every other month with DJ music, door prizes, and lots of fun! Come dressed in your favourite costume.

Registration/Cost: FREE! Concession items are available.

60+ Domino Bingo When: Tuesday Nov.

Where: San Marcos Activity Center – 501 E Hopkins What: This free event, sponsored by PAM Health, offers a twist on a classic game. Participants will be seated 4 to a table and will draw 7 dominoes each. The caller will pick a domino from their set and announce it. If one of your dominoes is called, you place it in the center of your table. The first person to have all their dominoes in the center of the table wins! Come test your luck and enjoy some friendly competition—you might just walk away with a prize!

60+ Game Day

When: Meets every Monday- except City Holidays, 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Where: San Marcos Activity Center What: Join us for Game Day, every Monday at the San Marcos Activity Center from 12:30 - 4 p.m. Game materials for Bridge, Mexican Train Dominoes, Hand & Foot, Mahjong and 42 are provided. We will add new games at your request. New participants are always welcome. Registration for Game Day is not required. We ask that participants please arrive on time to get in on a game.
