As Santa makes his list and checks it twice, I’m sure he’ll be visiting some of these local markets to find special one-of-a-kind gifts. In just a stroll around downtown you can hit three artisan markets this weekend. The San Marcos Art League presents the Art Squared Holiday Market Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., where you can find dozens of unique art vendors set up around the courthouse. Pop into the San Marcos Art Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday for a special indoor market featuring many of SMAL’s members.
Right around the corner is Shop 1893 at the Price Center, which will be hosting a holiday market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. They offer a wide selection of curated antiques, vintage, collectables and original creations.
