Julia Juarez, age 71, was born in Edinburg, Texas, July 7, 1947. Julia had a strong Christian faith in God, her marriage, and family and these strong convictions were her “daily bread.” Our mother was loving and kind. Julia and her husband Santos were blessed to celebrate their 59th Anniversary on June 18, 2019. While at the hospital they joined hands laughed, enjoyed themselves, and vowed to be bound together forever.
Our mother always gave us advice and throughout our lives she reminded us to respect our elders and reminded us that our actions had consequences and more importantly, we had to respond to God. Both of my parents would always be helping others. She would grab her purse and Mother would always say, “Gracias a Dios que no semos nosotros.” (Thank God that it is not us.) We would look at each other and say we were poor and suffering some “injustice.” Somehow our beloved Mother would see the richness she had with her family. She was a loving grandmother to her only grandchild, Katherine, whom she loved dearly and spoiled.
Our mother asked us to pray for her because she was ready to go home. Mother’s last advice was for us to live a faithful life, take care of each other, and take care of our dad. She will reunite with her granddaughter, Katherine Arcillia V. Morgan who passed away on June 25, 2019. We love you, Mom.
