Gary Job Corps visits Martindale for parade

The Fourth of July parade, which took place in the center of Martindale, was bigger and better than ever. The Del Valle High School marching band, carts, floats, bikes and even horses were in the parade. Many people and organizations helped make the parade run smoothly including the Boy Scots that were parade runners and the security and corrections students from the Gary Job Corps Center that assisted with traffic flow and parking. Many locals came out to enjoy the festivities including Martindale Mayor Robert Deviney.

San Marcos Mayor Jane Hughson was also celebrating Independence Day in Martindale.
