The Rattlers outscored Hays County rival Lehman 16-9 in the fourth quarter to seal a 64-42 win over the Lobos.
San Marcos improves to 5-7 for the season while Lehman falls to 36.
The first quarter was a competitive back-andforth affair, with senior Elijah Valenzuela hitting the three-pointer to start the scoring.
Lehman led 10-5 in the middle of the first quarter but a 8-0 run by San Marcos closed out the quarter and gave the Rattlers the lead at 13-10.
San Marcos exploded in the second quarter, outscoring Lehman 18-9 to lead the Lobos 31-19 and extend their lead to double figures.
The Lobos made a furious rally in the third quarter, scoring 14 points in the period. However, the Rattlers continued their offensive pace from the second quarter to score 17 points.
Heading into the fourth quarter, San Marcos led 48-33.
San Marcos continued to play at a break-neck pace on offense, while the defense held the Lobos to just nine points in the period en route to the Rattlers 64-42 win.

The Rattlers will be back on the road this weekend to play in the I-35 Shootout at Devine High School. San Marcos will play San Antonio Harlandale and Laredo Cigarroa on Thursday before playing Crystal City on Thursday.
