This New Year’s Eve (Eve), fans of the Wimberley Playhouse can start their New Year on a high note with two nights of original live radio magic that supports local theater.
“A Hill Country Home Companion,” the Players’ annual benefit show patterned after Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion,” is poised to return Dec. 29 and 30 to the Wimberley Playhouse.
Doors open both evenings at 6:30 p.m. with curtain at 7 p.m. and a New Year’s Eve Eve afterparty at 9 p.m. brought to life by a talented cast and crew.
Tickets are $95 a person and include two drink tickets at a cash bar, dessert, hors d’oeuvres and a dynamic show. Tickets can be purchased at www.wimberleyplayers. org. Attendees can expect a night of fancy dress on the red carpet – with cocktail attire encouraged – local friends, and live music from local favorites the Jazz Messenger Boys.
Join the Players for one night or make it a double feature and ring in the New Year in Hill Country style.
Various levels of sponsorship of the event remain available, with those interested in supporting it encouraged to reach out to Reji Smith at development@wimberleyplayers. org.
