The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the inaugural “Savor San Marcos” restaurant week promotion, a 10-day celebration of the city’s vibrant restaurant community. The event will take place Jan. 23 through Feb. 1, featuring Chamber-member restaurants offering diners a chance to explore local flavors and enjoy unique dining experiences.
During the “Savor San Marcos” promotion, diners can enter daily prize drawings by posting photos of themselves in the restaurants and using the hashtag #Savor-SanMarcos. There are two drawings each day during the promotion, with 20 total chances to win. The prizes are $100 dining gift cards to participating restaurants. Drawings will be held daily after lunch and dinner times. Diners can enter as many times each day as they like. A new group of winners will be selected each day to encourage diners to continue to eat out.
“This is a first for the ‘Savor San Marcos’ promotion, and we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on the 20 local restaurants that signed on to participate,” said Page Michel, President of the San Marcos Area Chamber. “This program will be a fun and engaging way for the community to support local dining during what’s typically a slow time for restaurants.”
Planning committee member Kristin Sheffield, co-owner of Palmer’s Restaurant, said, “We are excited to participate in Savor San Marcos and showcase what our city has to offer. It’s a great way to encourage people to try new restaurants, enjoy local flavors, and support our Chamber-member businesses during a quieter time of year.”
