Contrary to St. Nick, Krampus is the mythical character that punishes bad children around Christmas time. The Triple Six Social, located at 329 Cheatham Street, will be hosting Krampus Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Along with many enthusiasts dressed as the horned figure, there will be a Sinister Market for those hoping to pick up some last-minute gifts. There will be a Krampus parade at 1 p.m.
Then a short drive away, I have an opportunity for you to get some handmade Christmas presents. The Austin Holiday Market will be happening all weekend from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Palmer’s Event Center, 900 Barton Springs Road. There will be 200 artists selling their wares and live music to enjoy while you shop.
