TXST graphic design program ranked among top 50 nationally

Texas State University has been included among the top graphic design programs nationally in the 2025 Graphic Design School Rankings released by Animation Career Review.

The TXST graphic design program, housed in the School of Art and Design, placed No. 46 in the 11th annual rankings. The program also garnered additional accolades: - No. 3 ranking in Texas - No. 6 ranking in the Southwest - No. 24 ranking nationally among public schools and colleges Animation Career Review considered nearly 700 schools with graphic design programs from across the U.S. in preparing this year’s rankings. Programs were evaluated across seven criteria, in no particular order: - academic reputation - employment data - admission selectivity - depth and breadth of the program - value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness - graduation rate - retention rate Animation Career Review started publishing regional and national rankings in 2012, according to their website. “We consider every degree- granting school of which we are aware, with the exception of two-year community colleges. In some cases we will include non-degree granting schools, when the program’s quality merits inclusion.

“Our end goal is to provide students and their parents access to ample information so they can make an informed decision about the school they choose to attend and the program they pursue,” according to Animation Career Review.
