JANUARY Day One Kids Run
When: Wednesday Jan. 1, 1 p.m.
Where: Ramon Lucio Park – 601 S CM Allen Parkway What: Participants can run, walk, stroll - whatever gets them to the finish line! Parents are encouraged (but not required) to accompany children on the course.The course is a 1.1 mile trail with optional actions to learn how local wildlife spend their winter.
Info: Bring a reusable water bottle, enjoy some snacks and prizes, and dress up like your favorite woodland creature for extra fun! No reservations required.
Perler Bead Craft When: Saturday Jan. 3, 12:15 p.m.
Where: San Marcos Public Library Who: For ages 12-17 What: Create bag and bracelet charms using Perler Beads! Heat will be used, caution is needed.

Friends of the Library Mini Book Sale When: Tuesday Jan.6, 12 p.m.
Where: San Marcos Public Library What: Join Friends of the Library Book Sale and browse a selection of gently used books in great condition! Books available will include titles for adults and children.
Credit cards, cash and checks accepted.
1 Million Cups SMTX When: Wednesday Jan. 7, 9 - 10 a.m.
Where: San Marcos Public Library What: Free, monthly educational program designed to engage, connect, and support local entrepreneurs and start-ups.
Wreaths Out Day When: Wednesday Jan. 10, 10 a.m.
Where: City Cemetery – 1001 Ranch Road 12 What: We will be respectfully removing, dismantling and composting the wreaths that were placed on the headstones during National Wreaths Across Añmerica Day.
