Former Miss San Marcos hired as Seguin recruiter by Skillpoint Alliance

Skillpoint Alliance, a workforce development organization that provides free in-demand workforce training to underserved Central Texans, recently selected Juliana Allen as the new admissions coordinator for the organization’s South Central Texas locations.

“I’m honored to welcome Juliana Allen to our team at such a pivotal time,” Kevin Brackmeyer, chief executive officer of Skillpoint Alliance, said. “Our mission to provide high-quality, accelerated training has never been more critical, and Juliana is a great addition to the growing group of dedicated staff supporting our South Central Texas manufacturing training programs.”

Allen brings a strong background in client relations, education and community engagement, with previous experience in the Seguin Independent School District and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, according to a press release from Skillpoint Alliance.

In this new role, she is directly responsible for recruiting prospective, qualified students to Skillpoint Alliance’s manufacturing training programs located at its Seguin and New Braunfels locations. This position facilitates the application, admissions and enrollment processes for students.

“I’m excited to help connect more individuals across South Central Texas to life-changing career opportunities,” Allen said. “I look forward to working closely with our community partners and incoming cohorts to support every student on their path to success.”

Allen earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Phoenix, and is a former Miss San Marcos Scholarship Pageant winner, representing her community with leadership, confidence and service.

Skillpoint Alliance partners with local industry to offer professional training and educational opportunities at no cost to participants. The company was founded in 1994 to provide rapid workforce training in the ninecounty area in and around Austin. Skillpoint Alliance has been named one of the top ten job training programs in the country by Jobs for the Future and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
