Hello dear readers and welcome to the new year! Thanks for making the Daily Record a part of the start of your 2026. The team and I are committed more than ever to serve you and the city of San Marcos all the breaking news and local insight we can muster. I love this town and this job has allowed me to meet so many amazing humans and connect to rich and robust communities working to make this town better everyday. To start the year right I wanted to share my San Marcos resolutions, commitments I plan to make to myself and you to represent even more of this wonderful town.
Biggest goal is to represent every community in San Marcos, from clubs to volunteer organizations, to performers and reformers. Every month I swear I discover a new group of people doing cool things in the community and I can’t wait to share them with you.
My next resolution will be to highlight even more local businesses. Small business is the backbone of this town and I am committed to share these entrepreneurs’ stories, to inspire and celebrate their hard work to bring unique products and services to our town.
