San Marcos dropped their second district game of the season as the Rattlers fell to the Schertz Clemens Buffaloes 6932.
The Rattlers fall to 1114 overall and 0-2 in district play while the Buffaloes improve to 19-4 overall and 1-1 in district play.
San Marcos found themselves down early to Clemens 9-2, but a 7-2 run by the Rattlers made it a one-possession game at 11-9 going into the second quarter.
But the Buffaloes outscored the Rattlers 23-2 in the second quarter to give Clemens the lead at halftime 34-13.
The Rattlers were unable to overcome the deficit as San Marcos fell to Clemens 69-32.
San Marcos returns home Friday night against East Central. The Hornets lost their district game last Tuesday against Cibolo Steele 92-65, dropping their overall record to 15-9 and their district record to 0-2.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Friday night at the Snake Pit in San Marcos.
