The Rattlers won their first soccer game of the season, defeating the San Antonio LEE Volunteers 1-0 at the Austin Lakes Elite Showcase in Dripping Springs. San Marcos improves to 1-0-1 for the season after the showcase last weekend.
The Rattlers opened the showcase against the El Paso Eastlake Falcons.
Despite trailing 2-0 in the first half, San Marcos scored two goals in the second half to come away with the tie at 2-2.
Finishing out the Austin Lakes Elite Showcase, the Rattlers battled San Antonio LEE with San Marcos scoring a goal in the first half before shutting out the Volunteers to seal a 1-0 win.
The Rattlers will play their first home game of the season Friday as San Marcos takes on the Lake Travis Cavaliers.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Toyota Rattler Stadium.
Lady Rattlers Soccer competes at Grizzly Classic
The Lady Rattlers had a rough outing at the Grizzly Classic in Leander, dropping three games at the tournament.
San Marcos falls to 1-7 for the season.
The Lady Rattlers return home Wednesday against Floresville in the final non-district game of the season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Toyota Rattler Stadium
