As many of you know this town is full of a wide variety of artists of all ages and mediums. These talents overlap and collaborate often due to the numerous art activities, open calls and galleries throughout the town. A big force in the art scene has been the San Marcos Art League. Homed right in downtown at The San Marcos Art Center, this organization provides opportunities for artists to sell their work and engage with the community. This Sunday is their annual social held at the center. It will be a brunch from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for current and future members. This is the perfect opportunity to meet the SMAL members and see what being a part of their community is all about!
After brunch make your way to Zoetic Mindfulness Retreat at 6:30 p.m. for a Crochet with Renee class. Although a center focused on meditation, they often host creative classes which relax and connect oneself to peace and artistic energies. All supplies are provided and no experience is needed.
