The mission of Community Action is helping Central Texans improve economic self-reliance through a wide range of community services and community partnerships.
Representatives from the Health Services Division of Community Action Inc. of Central Texas shared a variety of quality health care information and the importance of a healthy living lifestyle with the Gary Job Corps students and staff.
Community Action Inc. of Central Texas aids residents in Hays, Caldwell and Blanco counties with Adult Education, Head Start, Parents as Teachers, Senior Citizen Programs, Youth Services and Community Services programs.
Community Action Project Manager Jackie Prado stated “We conducted reproductive life plans with each student and as partners with the Gary Job Corps Center. It has been a rewarding learning experience for the staff and students.”
Gary Job Corps Center Director Norman Turner said, “We appreciate the partnership we have with Community Action Inc. as much as we can expose our student body with healthy living choices that will serve them in their future careers”.
