Start district against Clemens
The Rattlers came away with the road win, defeating the Davenport Wolves 3-0 in non-district play. San Marcos improves to 3-1-1 overall while Davenport falls to 3-2-1.
The Rattlers dominated in the first half, scoring two goals while keeping the Wolves off the scoreboard.
San Marcos then punctuated the win with a second- half goal.
Imole Emuze led the team in scoring with two goals followed by Jamie Delgado with one goal. Juan Cervantes, Andy Aguilar and Bradley Pineda all had one assist each.
The Rattlers are back on the road Tuesday to start district play against the Schertz Clemens Buffaloes.
Clemens enters the game with a 1-5-2 overall record, coming off a 2-1 loss to Hays last Tuesday.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Lehnhoff Stadium in Schertz.
