LifeLong Learning Lecture Series When: Fridays, January 2 – February 6, 1:00 p.m.

Where: San Marcos Public Library Who: The LifeLong Learning Presentation Series is a set of 6unique presentations covering topics within areas such as law, exotic travel, artificial intelligence, finance, history and historical novels. FEBRUARY Sweetheart’s Dance for Adults with Disabilities When: Friday Feb. 6, 7 - 9 p.m.

Where: San Marcos Activity Center What: Adults with disabilities, you are invited to join us at our themed dance parties with DJ music, door prizes, and fun! Concession items such as soda, candy, cookies, and chips are $1 each.

Participants that require assistance must be accompanied by an assistant.

Me & My Guy Dance When: Saturday Feb. 7, 6 - 9 p.m.

Where: San Marcos Activity Center What: The Youth Services division of the Parks and Recreation Department invites young ladies (or gentleman) and their favorite guy to a semiformal evening of music, dancing, treats and keepsakes.

Registration/Cost: $6 per person; $12 per person week of. Register at sanmarcostx. gov/goparks

Golden Sweetheart’s Ball When: Friday, Feb. 13 Where: San Marcos Activity Center What: The Golden Sweethearts Ball is a special Valentine’s celebration for couples and singles in San Marcos and surrounding communities primarily for those aged 50 or above. Exceptions will be made for those under 50 if accompanying a guest that is 50 or above. It includes an elegant dance with great music, door prizes and a catered dinner. Attire is dressy to semi-formal and the dress code will be enforced.
