Two vehicles crashed near Bowie Elementary and San Marcos High School, and one person was trapped in the wreckage and another was ejected from the vehicle at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, according to Russell Wilde, a spokesperson for the city of San Marcos.
A white Ford Expedition pulled out of an apartment complex in front of a green Toyota Camry, and they collided.
All were awake and alert at the scene, and four people, including two children, were taken to Seton Hays Hospital.
“At least two of the people injured were not wearing seatbelts,” Wilde said. “Wearing seatbelts saves lives and can prevent serious injuries.”
SH 123 was shut down for about an hour while crews worked to investigate and clear the accident.
