Nominations for the 12th Annual Love Downtown Awards will close Sat, Jan. 31, at 11:45 p.m. There is still time to honor your favorite local business by nominating them for one of three categories. “This event is an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the businesses and partners who make Downtown San Marcos the vibrant space it is,” Downtown Manager Josie Falletta said. “There are three awards which are nominated by the general public: Outstanding New Business, Downtown Legend, and Business of the Year.”
2025 winners included Wild Rice Studio as Downtown Business of the Year, The San Market as the Outstanding New Business and The Marc received the Downtown Legend Award. The 2025 Downtown Partner of the Year was awarded to Economic Development & Historic Preservation. The Downtown Champion award was won by the Art Squared Art Market, which is hosted by the San Marcos Art League.
