Happy Friday and happy San Marcos Music Awards day! This evening musicians of all genres will take the stage to not only make music but be recognized by their peers. This is the third rendition of this annual event hosted by local radio station KZSM. Awards are distributed in 20 different categories celebrating not only musicians but venues and promoters as well. Last year’s event awarded my favorite local photographer Christopher Paul Cardoza with a Lifetime Achievement Award as well as the prestigious Golden Martian award.
Tickets are still available for the event hosted from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Price Center. This is a red carpet event so bring out your best threads and get ready for live performances from your favorite local acts. For tickets and more information visit kzsm.org/events.
