SMHS RATTLERS BOYS BASKETBALL
The Rattlers couldn’t hold off a fourth-quarter comeback from the Jaguars as San Marcos fell to Hays County rival Buda Johnson 46-44.
San Marcos falls to 1119 overall and 0-7 in district play while Johnson improves to 11-19 overall and 2-5 in district play.
The Rattlers led 36-30 going into the fourth quarter before being outscored 16-8 in the final quarter as the Jaguars completed the comeback win.
Junior Aiden Dorantes led the team in scoring with 17 points followed by senior Peter Aguilar with eight points. Junior Jerimiah Josiah led the team in rebounds with seven while senior Jordan Bernal led the team in assists with five.
