The Lady Rattlers clinched a playoff berth, defeating the Schertz Clemens Buffaloes 87-54 last Friday in district play.
San Marcos improves to 19-9 overall and 7-2 in district play while Clemens falls to 0-10 in district play and 7-23 overall. The Lady Rattlers enter the week 1.5 games out of first place behind Cibolo Steele.
This marks the third consecutive season the Lady Rattlers have clinched a playoff, making it their longest playoff streak since the early 2000s and the first time San Marcos has qualified for the playoffs in Class 6A in three consecutive seasons since the early 1990s.
The Lady Rattlers return home Tuesday night against the San Antonio East Central Hornets. The Hornets come into the game with a 18-14 overall and a 3-6 district record, fighting for the final playoff spot against both New Braunfels Canyon and Buda Johnson. East Central is coming off an 80-31 loss to Cibolo Steele last Friday.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Snake Pit in San Marcos.
