Bobcats win in fourth quarter comeback

TXST WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Texas State outscored Georgia State 23-7 in the fourth quarter to complete a 16-point comeback, defeating the Panthers 68-59.

The Bobcats improve to 10-11 overall and 6-5 in conference play while Georgia State falls to 4-7 in conference play and 9-14 overall.

Sophomore Kyra Anderson finished the game with 21 points and 15 rebounds to complete her seventh double-double for the season.

Sophomore Saniya Burks was second in scoring with 13 points, followed by sophomore K.P. Parr with 10 points.

Texas State returns home Wednesday to face the Georgia Southern Eagles. The Eagles enter the game with a 16-5 overall record and a 9-2 conference record, coming off a 70-67 win over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Strahan Arena.
