The Rattlers scored a goal in the second half to seal a critical 2-1 district win over the Converse Judson Rockets.
San Marcos improves to 5-2-2 overall and 2-11 in district play with the victory putting the Rattlers in first place. Judson suffers their first district loss of the season, dropping their overall record to 7-4-1.
The Rattlers are back home Friday against Cibolo Steele. The Knights enter the game with a 85-2 overall record and a 1-1-1 district record.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Friday at Toyota Rattler Stadium in San Marcos.
Lady Rattlers win second district game
Two goals in the first half were enough to help seal a 3-2 win for the Lady Rattlers in their victory over the Converse Judson Rockets.
The Lady Rattlers improve to 4-9 for the season and 2-2 in district play, with the victory putting San Marcos in fourth place. Judson falls to 6-5-1 overall and 1-2 in district play.
San Marcos is back on the road Friday as the Lady Rattlers take on Cibolo Steele. The Knights enter the game with a 21 district record and a 11-3 overall record.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Cibolo Steele.
