Fourth annual TXST show at The San Marcos Art Center seeks work
The San Marcos Art League is excited to invite all Texas State students, faculty, staff and alumni to participate in the fourth annual TXST art exhibition, “Creative Community.” The application for the TXST Creative Community exhibition will be available on artleaguesmtx.org/events until Feb. 27.
Working together, the San Marcos Art League and Texas State University create a flow of inspiration and resources. The San Marcos Art Center provides a vital bridge from the classroom to the professional art world. It offers emerging artists a centralized, public space to exhibit their work, build professional portfolios, and gain real-world experience in the heart of downtown. Faculty, alumni and staff bring a depth of technical mastery to the Art League, enriching local exhibitions with diverse perspectives. This exhibition ensures that the university’s cultural legacy remains a living part of the city’s identity.
The exhibition runs from Mar. 4 27. An opening reception will be held Friday, Mar. 6 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the San Marcos Art Center. It is free and open to the public, serving light refreshments and beverages.
