In a high scoring affair, the Rattlers fell in their road district game to the No. 7 ranked Cibolo Steele Knights 105-65.
The Rattlers fall to 011 in district play and 11-23 overall while Steele improves to 9-1 in district play and 27-4.
San Marcos will be on a bye this Friday before wrapping up the regular season at home against rival New Braunfels Canyon.
The Cougars enter the game with a 4-6 district record, fighting for the last playoff spot with San Antonio East Central, with Canyon a half game behind the Hornets.
Canyon is coming off a 57-35 loss to Converse Judson last Tuesday.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Snake Pit in San Marcos.
