DRIPPING SPRINGS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE VICE PRESIDENT | MEMBERSHIP
A sold-out membership luncheon crowd of Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce members and guests gathered on Jan. 28 to hear the City of Dripping Springs’ annual “State of the City” presentation. The update provided a broad look at the progress, priorities, and challenges shaping the community as Dripping Springs continues to grow.
City leaders led by Mayor Bill Foulds emphasized that growth remains a defining force for Dripping Springs, with multiple major residential developments in various stages of planning and construction. These projects reflect the continued demand for housing in the region and the importance of managing development thoughtfully to preserve the character and quality of life that make Dripping Springs a desirable community.
Infrastructure and long-term planning were key themes throughout the presentation. Officials shared updates on transportation efforts aimed at improving traffic flow and safety, including ongoing attention to congestion around the Hwy. 290 and Ranch Road 12 intersection. City leaders also pointed to continued work guided by the Transportation Master Plan to address road needs across the community.
Another major focus was wastewater capacity and utility planning. The City highlighted recent legal progress related to its wastewater facility permit, which clears a path for future expansion. As growth continues, wastewater and utility planning remains a critical part of ensuring Dripping Springs can support new residents and businesses responsibly.
The presentation also reflected on the local economy, noting steady activity in sales tax revenue and the continued arrival of new businesses, restaurants, and services that contribute to a thriving local marketplace. City leaders also spotlighted tourism and placemaking efforts such as the “Stars of Dripping Springs” art initiative, which celebrates the community’s identity while enhancing its appeal as a destination.
Overall, the 2026 “State of the City” underscored how the City of Dripping Springs is working to balance growth with infrastructure investment, economic development, and careful planning to protect the small-town spirit that residents value.
