Mardi Gras is happening in San Marcos this weekend! Though this one may be a bit more buttoned up than the New Orleans festivities — the shirts at least. The parade starts at 12 p.m. Safe bet is to find a seat on San Antonio or Belvin Street in the Historic District. For more info, go to MardiGrasSanMarcos. com.
Zelick’s will be throwing the after-party. There will be crawfish and frozen Hurricanes and live music by T.O.N. of Brass Band (25 p.m.), JD Clark Band (5-7 p.m.) and Los Gatos 512 (710 p.m.). Take an Uber if you plan to drink several of those Hurricanes.
