The Friends of the San Marcos Library are having a book sale Feb. 2022 from 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
“We have never had this amount of books, and our big room will be overflowing,” said Jeanne Balkman with the Friends of the Library.
The library will also be auctioning an 4x6 foot collage from local artist Linda Kelsey-Jones during the book sale. Kelsey-Jones is known locally as a former lecturer at Texas State University who currently curates the Walkers’ Gallery at the San Marcos Activity Center.
Kelsey-Jones was the original program director for ArtSpace at Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos and is currently on the Board of Directors at Centro and the Calaboose African American History Museum.
The San Marcos Library is located at 625 Hopkins Street.
